At Alliance Bank, the basis of each customer relationship, many of which span generations, is trust.  You have chosen to do business with us, and we are obligated to honor that relationship with great care, beginning with the information you have chosen to share with us.  We believe that your privacy should not be compromised.  At the same time, we want to offer you the array of financial products and services you need to accomplish your financial goals.  We believe we can do both through the privacy policy outlined below.

 

OUR CUSTOMER’S EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY:  We believe the confidentiality and protection of customer information is one of our most fundamental responsibilities.  While information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that one of our most important assets is our customers’ trust.  Thus, the safekeeping of customer information is a priority for Alliance Bank. 

 

Restrictions On The Disclosure Of Account Information

 

When it comes to sharing customer or former customer information with unaffiliated companies, Alliance Bank places strict limits on who receives specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data.  Alliance Bank may share information with such companies if they provide a product or service that may benefit our customers.  Whenever we do this, we carefully review the company and the product or service to make sure that it provides value to our customers.  We share the minimum amount of information necessary for that company to offer its product or service.  We share information with unaffiliated companies when: 

 

v      They assist us in providing our products and services to our customers

 

v      In the normal course of our business (for example, with consumer reporting agencies and government agencies)

 

v      It is legally required or permitted by law in connection with fraud investigations and litigation

 

v      In connection with acquisitions and sales

 

v      At the request or with the permission of our customer or former customer.

 

v      They perform marketing services on our behalf, or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements such as our checking account Econo Check program.

 

PROTECTION OF INFORMATION:  We safeguard information according to established security standards and procedures, and we continually assess new technology for protecting information.  Our employees are trained and periodically reminded to understand and comply with these confidentiality concerns.

 

Visitors to the Alliance Bank’s Web site remain anonymous.  We do not collect identifying information about visitors to our site.  We may use standard software to collect non-identifying information about our visitors, such as:

 

v      Date and time our site was accessed

v      IP Address (A numeric address given to servers connected to the Internet)

v      Web browser used

v      City, State and Country

 

The bank uses this information to create summary statistics and to determine the level of interest in information available on our site.

LIMITATIONS ON EMPLOYEE ACCESS TO ACCUMULATED INFORMATION:  We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to bank employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

 

Maintaining Customer Privacy In Third Party Business Relationships

 

When Alliance Bank conducts business with third parties, it requires its vendors and suppliers to maintain similar standards of conduct regarding the privacy of personally identifiable customer information provided to them.
